Polishchuk O. Development and implementation of Defence Policy as instrument of ensure National Security of Ukraine.

The study is dedicated to the theoretical and methodological foundation for the shaping and implementation features of an effective military policy of Ukraine as the basic instrument of social values protection in Ukraine and the instrument of reaction to the present and potential military threats to the national security of Ukraine under the conditions of the on-going foreign aggression. The dissertation investigates the trends of the development of world military-political processes, including by military means, and their influence on the possible changes to present world order. The author studies the transformation of the essence of war and armed conflicts as well as the genesis of scientific approaches towards armed conflicts as one of the instruments of the implementation of the state policy for the settlement of interstate and social contradictions. Based on systems analysis, the author considers the essence of modern armed conflicts as a particular social and political phenomenon, and defines the forms and specific features of modern armed conflicts of a hybrid type. The dissertation proposes a classification of modern armed conflicts together with its application for a definition of the on-going armed conflict on the territory of Ukraine.
