Prylypko D. Defence and copyright protection in the IT sphere.

The dissertation is a complex scientific research, which solves the typical scientific problem of identifying and solving problems of legal defence and copyright protection in the IT sphere and formulates a number of theoretical positions, conclusions, practical recommendations and proposals which plays important role to civil doctrine development, improvement of domestic legislation and law enforcement in this sphere. The dissertation considers the theoretical and methodological principles of the IT sphere as an object of legal regulation, including the role of IT technologies in the modern world. Trends and prospects for the development of the IT sphere in Ukraine were identified. The author explores the concept of "information" as the basis of the IT sphere and identifies its characteristics as an object of civil law regulation. It has been proved that the transformation and development of information technologies and the use of their products in Internet have determined development of completely new types of public relations in the field of copyright. Legal relations in Internet are characterized by certain features and diversity, which raises the problem of interpreting at the theoretical level the content of such concepts as authorship, copyright and intellectual property via the prism of the specifics of creation and operation of information technology products or IT works. Particular attention is paid to the characteristics of IT law, the disclosure of its concept and content and determination of its connection with intellectual property law and information law.
