Recently, cultural and artistic practices based on new ways of interacting with the audience are beginning to emerge, and a “digital aesthetics” is being formed which expands the possibilities of influencing human sensuality. This provides the opportunity for the audience to deeper immerse in the audiovisual spectacle and better understand and feel the idea of the project creators. Despite a large number of works examining new technologies in multimedia, it should be noted that the problem of transformations of sound-visual image in modern audiovisual culture, which is integrated into all the spheres of modern society, is insufficiently studied, which proves the relevance of the research topic. Researchers do not pay enough attention to the issues of sound-visual image formation in modern cinema. Not less relevant is the analysis of the components and tools of screen works, including sound content, its combination with the image and its impact on recipients, which is revealed on the basis of the practical experience of modern sound engineers. For solving this situation in science, the goal of the study was set – to do the analysis of the processes of transformations of the sound-visual image in modern audiovisual culture on the basis of the culture studies approach potential. The object of the research is modern audiovisual culture. The subject of the research is the transformations of the sound-visual image and its significance in different types and genres of modern cinema. The scientific novelty of the thesis is determined by the comprehensive interdisciplinary analysis of the transformations processes in the creation of a sound-visual image that have taken place and are taking place at the beginning of the XXI century and by the fact that for the first time in the Ukrainian culture studies, the role of a sound-visual image as a means of expression in the works of modern audiovisual culture is studied systemically. In particular, for the first time the existing theoretical developments on the problem of sound-visual image in modern audiovisual culture are summarized; the peculiarities of the transformations processes which took place in the creation of a sound-visual image in modern audiovisual culture are analyzed and characterized; a comparative analysis of the creation of a sound-visual image and its impact on recipients in cinema, theater and TV productions, multimedia was done; the characteristic features of a sound-visual image as a means of expressiveness in the latest audiovisual practices are revealed; works of different kinds and genres of modern cinema in the context of the role of sound in the formation and creation of the image are analyzed. The categorical apparatus of the research, aesthetic, psychological and socio-cultural aspects of the sound-visual image in modern audiovisual culture and the essence of the sound-visual image and its characteristics are specified.
