Sashurina O. Personal psychological resources of the National Police of Ukraine officers in professional activity

Theoretical analysis and empirical research of distinctive features of personal psychological resources of personnel of the National Police of Ukraine in professional activity have been carried out. Today’s socio-political transformation in Ukraine have actualized a list of crisis issues in different spheres including law enforcement system. Reforming the law enforcement agency in the National police has been positively understood by the society therefore is socially justifiable. But, at the same time the police service is complicated because of numerous objective reasons (such as danger for life and health, complexity and suddenness of service conditions, too strict processual regulation of the activities, irregular working hours, etc.) and subjective one (high responsibility for the made decisions, communication tensions while interacting with citizens, etc.). The complexity and non-triviality of the police service defines the need for existence of specific educational and training system for the police officers, functioning of the psychological support system of their professional activity.
