Mainina M. Features of the state sovereignty’s implementation in the European Union.

The dissertation is devoted to the study of the features of the state sovereignty implementation in the European Union. The thesis analyzes the main foreign and domestic concepts and theoretical-methodological approaches to state sovereignty. The realization of state sovereignty by the European Union countries, the main stages of its transformation and other features of this union are considered. The peculiarities of the state sovereignty implementation by the member states in the context of the European Union external relations are revealed. The influence of the European Union on the candidate countries’ state sovereignty is studied, as well as the European Union policy influence on the associated states’ sovereignty. The theme of the dissertation research is relevant due to the need for political analysis of the features of the state sovereignty implementation in the European Union. As a rule, this issue is studied in terms of legal science, which argues the emergence of state sovereignty numerous problems in the European Union by the legal framework imperfection and does not pay attention to the political nuances of this problem. Attention to the study of the state sovereignty realization is enhanced by permanent approaches changes to understanding of this phenomenon nature. In the European Union case, the main discussions boil down to these that the state does not lose its sovereignty, but only open the possibilities to influence the certain areas functioning for the common good and for the achieving results that over a similar period of time states independently are unable to achieve. In practice states are increasingly faced with the fact that the implementation of domestic policy is contrary to the EU rules. This highlights the problem of state sovereignty realization in terms of European Union membership (or aspirations for it).
