The thesis presents solution of the scientific problem of readiness formation of border guard junior inspectors for professional activity at international border crossing points.
It was established that the readiness of border guard junior inspectors for professional activity at international border crossing points is a professionally important personal characteristic, which includes the appropriate level of motivation for professional activity, the ability to make decisions, psychological readiness for professional activity, as well as the formation of basic and functional competences necessary for persons and vehicles identification, inspection of vehicles, maintenance of regime at checkpoints across the state border, etc.
Based on the results of understanding the specifics of the operational and service activities of border guard junior inspectors at international border crossing points and taking into account the results of the analysis of scientific works, surveys of various categories military personnel, it was established that the readiness of border guard junior inspectors for professional activity at international border crossing points contains the following components: motivational, psychological, active.
The motivational component is revealed through the interest in professional activity, attitude to professional activity, responsibility for their own actions, awareness of the importance of professional activity at international border crossing points.
The psychological component characterizes the formation of mental qualities, the ability to reflect on one’s own actions, formation of decision-making skills, psychological readiness for professional activity at international border crossing points.
The active component is expressed in the formation of basic and functional competences, the ability to apply the acquired professional experience, the ability to act in new conditions, self-assessment of ones professional activity and decisions made; in the ability to predict activity at international border crossing points.
The generalized results of the comparative analysis of the distribution by levels of readiness formation of border guard junior inspectors for professional activity at international border crossing points in the control and the experimental groups at the end of the formative experiment, as well as statistical verification of hypotheses using Fisher criterion allows us to state that the proposed pedagogical conditions of readiness formation of border guard junior inspectors for professional activity at international border crossing points have advantages, which are quantitatively proven within the experiment, over the existing training methods, therefore, can be recommended to practical application in the training process of border guard junior inspectors at the Main Personnel Training Center of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
The scientific novelty of the study: for the first time, the pedagogical conditions for the readiness formation of border guard junior inspectors for professional activity at international border crossing points were justified (facilitating the increase of motivation of border guard junior inspectors for professional activity at international border crossing points; combination in the course of professional training the processes of forming necessary professional competencies, psychological and physical qualities; adaptive step-bystep management of educational activities of border guard junior inspectors in the course of professional training); the content of the criteria (motivational, psychological, active) were improved through the use of indicators that allow to diagnose the readiness formation of border guard junior inspectors for professional activity at international border crossing points, and characteristics of readiness formation levels of the border guard junior inspectors for professional activity at international border crossing points were also improved; the content and structure of the readiness of border guard junior inspectors for professional activity at international border crossing points (unity of motivational, psychological, active components) was clarified; the essence of the concept of «readiness of border guard junior inspectors for professional activity at international border crossing points»; ideas about the readiness formation of border guard junior inspectors for professional activity at international border crossing points were further developed by modeling this process.
