Essay

The dissertation substantiates the relevance of the introduction of experimentation as a type of children’s activity in preschool pedagogy of Ukraine (middle of the XXth- beginning of the XXIst century). The conceptual apparatus of the research has been defined: object, subject, objective, chronological boundaries, tasks, methods, source base, scientific novelty, practical significance. The dissertation presents methodological approaches – philosophical, general scientific (historiographical, systemic, holistic and sociological approaches), specific scientific (special) (retrospective system-structural analysis and synthesis, logical-historical and historical-genetic, biographical and step-bystep problematic, forecasting, periodization), technological (general scientific and empirical methods). The research is based on the philosophical principles of scientism, historicism, unity of theory and practice, unity of historical and logical, objective study of phenomena. General scientific (analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization), empirical (comparative-analytical, search-bibliographic), historical-chronological, historical-retrospective, historical-comparative research methods have been proposed.
