The relevance of the dissertation is in the context of the global economic crisis, the consequences of quarantine measures, and significant structural changes in Ukraine’s economy, there is a need to ensure the development of managerial competencies in young professionals in Ukrainian higher education institutions (further – HEIs), which would enhance their competitiveness in the labor market, successful employment, and career growth. The success of entrepreneurial activities largely depends on the level of managerial competencies among HEI graduates, based on the application of a competency-based approach. As a result of scientific research, the author's definition of managerial competencies of young professionals comprehensive concept that encompasses a set of skills and knowledge necessary for effective organisation management. It includes analytical and critical thinking, information processing, goal and task setting, decision-making, control, and staff motivation. Based on the conducted research, the process of identification and selection of key Features that unite the managerial competencies of young professionals have been determined and proposed. This allows for the development of a classification of managerial competencies of young professionals based on the following criteria: goals, hierarchical structure, linear structure, types of management, level of universality, implementation, and control, and management function. The formation of a list of important managerial competencies necessary for the preparation of young professionals for their further professional realization in the business environment and the identification of a set of skills that are in demand among employers. It has been reasoned and proven that to identify the prospects for the development ofa competency-based model and improve the management of the process of providing educational services in HEIs of Ukraine, it is necessary to consider the modern national model of managerial competencies of young professionals. The features and characteristics of competency models have been identified, and the sequence of elements of the national model for the formation of managerial competencies and the system of managerial competencies of young professionals has been established, which has allowed the construction of a logical-structural model for managing the process of providing educational services in HEIs for the implementation of educational programs for the formation of young professionals based on a competency-based approach, taking into account the stages of formation of the system of managerial competencies. Considering the current trends in the labor market and higher education, the dissertation proposes theoretical and applied aspects of forming a monitoring system for employment and career advancement of graduates, aimed at analyzing the state of the labor market and higher education, using online surveys of companies-employers and partners, considering trends in employment and career advancement of young professionals. Outlines the areas of improvement for improving the formation of managerial competencies of young professionals in Ukrainian HEIs. An information-logical model for the formation of managerial competencies of young professionals in HEIs is proposed, along with directions for training young professionals through the professional development of academic staff and the implementation of modern educational programs. Recommendations are provided for the development of a system of strategic partnership among HEIs, government bodies, and the labor market to enhance the formation of managerial competencies of young professionals. A comprehensive model of the information and analytical subsystem for the formation of managerial competencies of young professionals has been developed, serving as the foundation for the information and analytical support of the formation of managerial competencies of young professionals in the provision of educational services in higher education institutions. It has been established that the operation of the information and analytical subsystem for the formation of managerial competencies of young professionals is closely linked to the subsystem of monitoring and adaptation and should be supported by an automated information system and a database of managerial competencies. The formulated principles and scientific-methodical recommendations presented in this study will contribute to the further effective development and utilization of a competency-based approach in higher education of Ukraine, as well as to the quality formation of managerial competencies of young professionals. The practical implementation of the proposed suggestions will enhance the level of interaction and collaboration among higher education institutions, government, and businesses, thus ensuring the competitiveness of young professionals in the modern labor market of Ukraine.
