Essay

The purpose of the research is to develop, substantiate and experimentally prove the efficiency of content-based methods of syntactic competence formation in the future teachers of the Ukrainian Language and Literature using information and communication technology. The research is aimed at studying the process of forming the syntactic competence of future Ukrainian Language and Literature teachers at higher education institutions, the subject of the research is methods of forming the syntactic competence of future Ukrainian Language and Literature teachers at universities using information and communication technology. The thesis describes the history of teaching syntax at university; it singles out and gives a systemic representation of the theoretical (psychological and linguistic-and-didactic) background for the formation of the syntactic competence of future Ukrainian language and literature teachers; reveals and specifies modern characteristics of the basic concepts of the research; analyses the content of educational materials used to form the syntactic competence of the students of the programmes 035 Philology (minor 035.01 Ukrainian Language and Literature) and 014 Secondary Education (minor 014.01 Ukrainian Language and Literature); formulates the criteria, indicators and levels of syntactic competence of future Ukrainian language and literature teachers; it develops and experimentally tests the efficiency of the methods of forming the syntactic competence of the above-mentioned students using information and communication technologies.
