Essay

The dissertation raises the issue of training future music teachers for multi-vector and multifunctional professional activity in the aspects related to vocal forms of music making. The structure of preparation of future specialists for vocal-professional and conducting-choral activity is determined, which consists of motivational-value, cognitive-cumulative, performing-stylistic, professional-creative components. The leading idea of the study is that the variety of pedagogical situations where a music teacher needs to use vocal skills requires awareness of the existing problem by all participants of the educational process, the purposeful formation of future specialists’ ability to master various performing manners and techniques and the ability to apply them flexibly and creatively, according to different pedagogical contexts and stylistic features of the repertoire. Pedagogical conditions contributing to the parallel formation of singing skills in various vocal manners of solo and choral performance are presented, namely: stimulating the participants of the educational process to take a responsible attitude to the problem of one-time formation of solo and choral singing skills; establishment of interdisciplinary coordination aimed at harmonizing solo and vocal-choral training of future specialists; encouraging students to constant self-improvement and creative implementation of the results of multi-functional vocal and choral training in various types of professional activities. The criterion-diagnostic apparatus for identifying the levels of future music teachers’ readiness for vocal-professional and conducting-choral activity has been substantiated, and the criteria for their evaluation have been determined: mobilization and personal, competence-based and gnostic, competence-based and practical, creativity and activity-based with the corresponding indicators. The content of the formative experiment to improve the levels of future music teachers’readiness for vocal-specialist and conducting-choral activities according to the multifunctional approach, which was carried out according to preparatory and three formative stages: instructional, methodical-corrective, result-creative, was disclosed.
