Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the analysis of the structural-semantic and pragmatic-functional aspects of term formation in the modern English language within the field of mobile communication, which are characterized by the development trend and the emergence new senses of the term, which are closely related to the words of the common language. In scientific research, attention is focused on the research and discovery of new senses - terms of mobile communication, their semantic content and word-forming potential, the trends of professional language development on the basis of phraseological, metaphorical and metonymic reinterpretations are highlighted. The analysis of the researched professional term vocabulary proves the change of the conceptual picture of the world and the lexical (linguistic) depiction. Neological processes and cross-linguistic influences require fixation and codification of the studied terms, express pragmatic factors that influence the emergence and use of new term units in the modern terminological system of mobile communication. The appearance of new terms in the field of mobile technologies, which permanently arise on the basis of the action by internal factors in the evolution of a specialized language, are also related to the action of the internal laws in a special field of science, the analogy law, the law of linguistic economy, the tendency to homogeneity, etc. In order to adequately understand the internal semantic potential of the term, it is necessary to find out its morphological structure, semantic features that distinguish the term from commonly used words, as well as its specificity in contextual functioning. The terms for mobile communication differ from the words of the general language vocabulary by a clear semantic delineation of boundaries and a specific reproduction of special concepts of their pragmalinguistic potential. The dissertation comprehensively researches the lexical-semantic and linguo-pragmatic aspects of the mobile communication term system, it is found that the terminology of the mobile communication sublanguage forms a separate industry term system with its conceptual and terminological apparatus, productive lexical-semantic, pragmalinguistic potential for creating new special senses. It was found out that a comprehensive analysis of the structural and semantic parameters of the terminological units of the researched field contributed to the selection of the most productive models of the formation new terms, which primarily perform significant, denotative and connotative functions in special contexts of mobile communication. Research on the expression of semantic nuances of terminological units in the field of mobile communication covers structural, lexical-semantic and functional aspects of the English professional language. The scientific novelty of the study involves the complex application of the method of semantic analysis of the term "meaning-senses" (S.O. Gursky), based on which the different senses of the same sign at the speech level are not different variants of one invariant, but the result of a creative, abstracted combination by the native speaker semantic invariant in the paradigmatics of the language system by variable concepts in the syntagmatics of speech. It is the generalized, abstracted invariant meaning of the terminological unit that makes it possible to "migrate" from one terminological system to another, functioning at the same time as a commonly used word and as a term of a special field. No less important in the novelty of research is the process of abstracting thinking and the subsequent separation of the invariant meaning from its numerous definitions in dictionaries and special texts-contextual formations. Works on terminology, linguistics, semantics, branch terminology, linguistics and others serve as the theoretical and methodological basis of the research. The study of the terminology in mobile technologies is determined by the general focus of modern linguistic research on the definition of branch terminologies from the perspective of identifying the peculiarities of their creation, structure, semantics and functioning in a special field. We see a promising direction for further research in the comprehensive analysis of numerous new senses based on the actualization of differential, gradational, and potential semes. The study is motivated by the need to analyze the wide use of new vocabulary in the field of mobile communication technologies, the importance and specificity of this field. The research methods and techniques involved in the scientific work will contribute to a comprehensive analysis of the linguistic-cultural and linguistic-pragmatic aspects of other professional languages in various national variants of the modern English language.
