The model of the state-church relations in the USA is investigated in the dissertation work. Theoretical and practical problems of research and directions of their improvement are defined. The development of state-church relations in the USA is analyzed. From the standpoint of the theoretical component of the dissertation research, the work of domestic and foreign scholars who studied certain issues of the model of state-church relations in the United States of America played an important role. The theoretical features of the concept of «state-church relations», «model of state-church relations» and types of models of state-church relations are studied. The normative-legal source base of ensuring the constitutional principles of separation of the state and the church in the US legislation in the field of education is analyzed.
