The dissertation is dedicated to the study and analysis of the use of familect in American animated series.The relevance of the research topic is determined by its focus on studying the familect of characters in American animated series within the context of cultural representation of family values. The research of familect(the idiolect of characters in terms of their sociolinguistic status and distinctive language features) in animated series «Family Guy»,«“F” is for Family» and «American Dad!»has both scientific and practical significance.The representation of familectin animated series allows for the exploration of the cultural and social identity of characters since the language characteristics of characters indicate their origins, class affiliation, and ethnic background. Moreover, the idiolects of individual characters convey their thoughts, feelings, motivations, and values. Corpus analysis of characters' speech is relevant for representing both the linguistic features of individual characters and the dynamics of communication between parents and children and amongparents themselves.The alteration of the idiolect of individual characters affects the overall presentation of a family's familect. Familect creates an authentic atmosphere in the world of animated series. Emphasizing the language peculiarities and idiolects of characters contributes to a deeper understanding of their personalities and family relationships. It can also serve as a tool for analyzing the evolution of speech and communication in animated series that reflect contemporary family dynamics and cultural trends
