Essay

The dіssertatіon deals wіth the the prose of Witold Gombrowicz (1904-1969). An analysis of his prose was carried out from the point of view of literary anthropology, anthropology of literature and emigrantology. The objects of research were the novels “Ferdydurke”, “Trans-Atlantic”, “Cosmos”, “Pornography”, the “Diaries”, collections of short stories, the write’'s epistolary legacy and valuable biographical studies compiled during and after Gombrowicz’s life. The original works became the primary source for the research, information from the history of translations of Gombrowicz’s works on Ukrainian literary soil is also included. The work analyzes the key works of the Polish writer, which make it possible to outline the most complete picture of the implementation of basic anthropological dimensions in the field of literary anthropology and anthropology of literature. The research involved multiple tools from related humanities – first of all, anthropology, sociology, psychology (including child psychology), psychology of crisis situations, emigrant studies, as well as specialized literary areas – receptive aesthetics, cultural anthropology and structural anthropology.
