Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of phraseological units (PU) with the ornithonym component in the modern Ukrainian language. By PU with an ornithonym component we mean stable language formations, which include the names of wild and domestic birds. The relevance of the work is determined by the need for a comprehensive study of PU with ornithonyms of the Ukrainian language (codified and non codified colloquial, territorial and sociolectal) in semantic, structural and ethnolinguistic aspects.
