Sylenko N. Formation of national and cultural identity of junior schoolchildren in the process of interaction between family and school

The dissertation is devoted to the topical problem of the formation of the national and cultural identity of junior schoolchildren in the process of interaction between school and family. On the basis of the analysis of domestic and foreign philosophical, psychological and pedagogical views on the peculiarities of the formation of the national and cultural identity of the growing personality, the formation of its national and cultural values and their importance in the socio-cultural formation of junior schoolchildren, these processes are characterized in two theoretical planes, namely: historical and genetic analysis of the problems of formation of the national and cultural identity of the individual in pedagogical thought and practice in different historical periods and on the peculiarities of the development of normative-legal, psychological-pedagogical and socio-pedagogical components of the processes of formation of the phenomenon under study in modern domestic and foreign science. The study of the practice of modern educational institutions shows the existence of a number of contradictions between: the state's need for competitive personalities capable of practical application of national and cultural identity skills, and the insufficient level of formation of national and cultural identity among primary school students; the need to form the national and cultural identity of the individual in the secondary level of education and the methodological lack of elaboration of the problem; need interaction between family and school in the process of forming the national and cultural identity of junior schoolchildren and school and the methodological lack of elaboration of the problem. The research is based on scientific approaches, in particular cultural, personality-oriented, subject-subject, competence and axiological, as well as on the provisions of humanistic ethics and morality, according to which a person is the highest value (I. Bech, E. Fromm). The research is based on the dialectical connection, interdependence and integrity of phenomena and processes in the course of history, as well as on the interaction of ethnic groups and peoples on the territory of Ukraine The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that: for the first time, the organizational and pedagogical conditions for the formation of the national and cultural identity of children of primary school age in the process of interaction between the family and school are determined (increasing the professional competence of teachers in the formation of the national and cultural identity of children of primary school age in the process of interaction between family and school on a democratic basis; the orientation of the educational efforts of the family and the school to the formation of the national and cultural identity of younger schoolchildren; introduction of traditional and innovative forms of interaction between teachers and parents aimed at the formation of the national and cultural identity of younger schoolchildren); The criteria for the formation of national and cultural identity in junior schoolchildren ("the idea of national and cultural identity"; "desire to manifest national and cultural identity"; "manifestation of national and cultural identity in behavior") with appropriate indicators and the levels of formation of national and cultural identity of junior schoolchildren in the process of interaction between family and school (high, medium, primary) are characterized;the essence of the concept of "national and cultural identity of junior schoolchildren" is clarified as an integral dynamic personal property that reflects the feeling of love for Ukraine, for people, valuable attitude to the family, awareness of national symbols, holidays, traditions, historical events, outstanding people of Ukraine, embodied in their behavior by the humanistic experience of junior schoolchildren; structural components of national and cultural identity (cognitive, emotional-value, activity); the essence of the concept of "interaction between family and school" regarding the formation of the national and cultural identity of junior schoolchildren as the main factor in conducting educational work on the national-patriotic education of junior schoolchildren, where the subjects are teachers, parents, primary school students; the process of joint mutually agreed and mutually responsible activities of teachers and parents, which includes the exchange of information, the organization of joint actions aimed at the formation of the national and cultural identity of junior schoolchildren in the process of interaction between family and school; Forms and methods of pedagogical work on the formation of the national and cultural identity of junior schoolchildren in the process of interaction between family and school have been further developed.
