Shulichenko T. Linguistic personality of the character of the ukrainian bestseller (based on the materials of the works of v. Shklyar)

The purpose of the research is to analyze the peculiarities of the collective and individual linguistic personality of the characters in Vasyl Shklyar's bestsellers through the prism of studying their communicative behavior. The source base of the study is such bestsellers of Vasyl Shklyar as «Characternyk», «Black Raven», «Marusya», «Black Sun», the total number of 1210 pages. The scientific novelty of the PhD thesis is determined by the fact that the individual and collective linguistic personality of the character of Ukrainian bestsellers is analyzed for the first time in Ukrainian linguistics; the methodology of such a study is developed, the features of language behavior, communicative tactics and strategies of the characters are characterized. The theoretical value of the research lies in the clarification of the theoretical definitions of the concepts of the linguistic personality of the character; the collective linguistic personality; linguistic personality of the leader; additions to the criteria for the classification of linguistic personality; outlining the features of the nationally marked collective linguistic personality of the characters of the bestseller; representation of the communicative characteristics of the linguistic personality of the leader of the modern bestseller. The practical application of the obtained results is determined by the possibility of their use during the teaching of basic courses of higher education institutions in the modern Ukrainian language (lexicology and phraseology), stylistics and culture of speech, rhetoric, communicative linguistics, current directions of philological science, problems of world linguistics, methodology of philological research, as well as in courses on linguistic and cultural studies, scientific speech, problems of communicative impact, etc.
