The dissertation presents a comprehensive research of the problem of forming the methodical competence of future teachers of art school in the classroom of solo singing. The theoretical aspects of the problem of forming the methodical competence of future teachers of art school in the solo singing classes are revealed; pedagogical, psychological, art historical scientific works are analyzed; research on the theory and methods of art education, art pedagogy, vocal pedagogy, vocal and methodical training of students in higher education institutions is systematized; scientific works on the effective organization of the educational process, the introduction of innovative teaching methods are analyzed and systematized. A scientific thesaurus of the problem of forming the methodical competence of future teachers of art school has been developed, which includes concepts that reveal the essence of competence training, the methodical component of professional training and the specifics of vocal training of future art school teachers.

The research clarifies the essence of the methodical competence of future art school teachers. It has been determined that the formation of methodical competence of future teachers of art school is a purposeful, complex, dynamic process of acquiring special knowledge, skills, abilities and experience necessary for future vocal-methodical and vocal-pedagogical activities. We interpret the concept of "methodical competence of future art school teachers" as a dynamic professional and personal formation, which is the ability to effectively apply the acquired special (professional) knowledge, skills and abilities to carry out successful vocal-methodical and vocal-pedagogical activities in order to meet the artistic and aesthetic needs of art school students.
The structure of the studied phenomenon is developed, consisting of motivational-value, information-innovation, cognitive-operational, result-correction components, characterized by the following indicators: identification of internal motivation to master methodical competence, awareness of the value of methodical competence as an end in itself, awareness of the value of methodical competence as a means to achieve professional goals; the ability to effectively master new methodical knowledge and skills in the field of vocal pedagogy, the ability to create new methodical ideas and methodical systems for teaching singing, the ability to introduce innovative methods and techniques of practical activity to solve the problems of vocal pedagogy; understanding the specifics of teaching singing, the characteristics and needs of participants in the educational process, the identification of independent, critical, original, prognostic thinking, abstraction and self-control in the process of teaching singing, the ability to use effective means and methods of teaching singing and developing the singing voice, to interact effectively with all participants in the educational process; the ability to evaluate and analyze their own methodical activities and the results of the educational process, the ability to self-development and self-improvement, continuous development of methodical competence, the ability to adjust the selected methods of influence in the process of teaching singing to achieve the goal.
