Essay

The dissertation presents a synthesis of the outcomes from a theoretical analysis and experimental research on post-traumatic growth indicators in children. It proposes a theoretical model of psychosocial rehabilitation for children impacted by armed conflicts, which includes structural components such as as existential, cognitive and interpersonal aspects. A collection of procedures for psychodiagnostics of these elements has been identified. A tested and developed programme, entitled «Post-traumatic growth of adolescents in the rehabilitation environment of a children's camp» has been created. This programme utilises a comprehensive approach to address the effects of psychological trauma and promote post-traumatic growth. The introduction justifies the relevance of the research problem and defines the object, subject, methodological foundations, purpose, and objectives of the study. Emphasis is placed on the scientific novelty and practical significance of the research, while presenting data on the validation of the obtained results. The structure of the dissertation is described, taking into account the sequence of solving the set tasks. In the introductory chapter, entitled «Theoretical and Methodological Foundations of Research on the Problem of Post-Traumatic Growth in Children», the main approaches to comprehending post-traumatic growth as a psychological phenomenon were examined. The study identified three focal spheres that undergo the most substantial changes throughout the post-traumatic growth process, namely personality traits, interpersonal relationships, values and life orientations. A theoretical model outlining post-traumatic growth in children affected by armed conflicts was presented, defining its structure and content.
