Drobot K.V. Interactive swimming training for children of older preschool age. – Qualifying scientific work on manuscript rights.
Dissertation for the Doctor of Philosophy degree in specialty 017 – Physical culture and sport, 01 – Education/Pedagogy, Zaporizhia National University, Zaporizhia, 2022.
In the qualifying paper for obtaining the third educational and scientific degree of Doctor of Philosophy, a solution to the actual scientific and practical task of substantiating the structure and content of swimming training for older preschool children with the help of interactive and currently innovative means is presented. Cognitive activity and the direction of motor activity of children of the specified age group are key in solving this problem. To implement the tasks of the dissertation, the implementation of exercises using multimedia tools, tasks stimulating cognitive activity, increasing the interaction of children in the internal environment and with external participants (swimming instructor, parents, etc.) is involved.
Over the past decades, there have been significant changes in the material, technical and technological support of the educational process in general, which gave reason to talk about the timeliness of introducing similar means and methods in teaching swimming. Acquiring water skills (ie having the necessary physical/motor, emotional and cognitive abilities) is a condition for children's safety in the water and prevents drowning.
The relevance of the chosen topic of the dissertation is due to the need to justify the method of teaching swimming to older preschool children by finding innovative training methods, and is determined by the need to solve the problems of the education system for older preschool children, which is hampered by a number of contradictions. The main of them arose between the objective needs for the constant growth of the professional level of trainers (instructors) and the lack of an effective provision mechanism that stimulates this development; between the need to implement modern programs in preschool education institutions and the lack of scientifically based theoretical and methodological foundations for its provision; between the large number of scientific studies on the problem of teaching children to swim and lagging behind the leading modern innovations of the world level; between the need to teach swimming skills to children with signs of water phobia and the low efficiency of existing methods and programs with adequate technology; between the need to take into account both domestic and foreign experience in the use of means, methods, forms of swimming training and the insufficiency of research on the specified problem in domestic science.
On the basis of this, an actual scientific and practical task related to the need to introduce advanced pedagogical interactive technologies in teaching swimming to older preschool children to form a complex of their competencies is singled out.
In the first chapter of the dissertation, an analysis of scientific, educational and methodological literature and information on the Internet was carried out. The degree of validity of the components of the swimming training system for children of different age groups, the requirements for this process from the side of various participants, and scientific and methodical approaches to the organization of swimming lessons are revealed. The foreign experience and main scientific results of specialists in areas related to swimming training are presented. The structural components were information about the importance of swimming for the formation of a child's personality, the advantages and disadvantages of learning to swim for older preschoolers, the generalization of certain experience and methodical components of learning to swim, the features of using interactive methods in teaching water sports for older preschoolers.
There is an undeniable need for the use of innovative technologies based on an integral approach in physical education, which complement traditional didactic methods and can be supplemented with auxiliary means, depending on the use of interactive and multimedia tools in teaching swimming to high school children.
The second chapter presents a set of research methods (theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature and data, sociological methods, expert evaluation method, pedagogical observations, pedagogical testing, pedagogical experiment, mathematical statistics methods), the feasibility of their use is substantiated, and information about the sample of participants is presented dissertation research, the procedure for conducting the main stages of dissertation research with sequential and parallel execution of tasks...
