The theoretical justification was carried out and the method of formation of patriotic ideals of students of agricultural institutions of vocational higher education was experimentally verified. Based on the analysis of sources and literature, a historical-genetic analysis of the ideas of the formation of patriotic ideals of the individual was made, it was established that the investigated problem was relevant in different historical periods. Based on the civilizational and formational approaches, 7 stages were distinguished, which are characterized by the peculiarities of the formation of the patriotic ideal: 1) originality; 2) the ancient world; 3) middle Ages; 4) revival and reformation; 5) new time; 6) modern time; 7) modernity. The work defines the essence and structure of "patriotic ideals of students of agricultural institutions of vocational higher education". The dissertation defines the main methodological approaches to the formation of patriotic ideals of students of agricultural institutions of vocational higher education: systemic, axiological, cultural, personal-oriented, activity-based. The dissertation research summarizes foreign and domestic experience in the formation of patriotic ideals, it is established that the formation of patriotic ideals of students is carried out at three levels: international, national, and institutional. At the same time, it is emphasized that there are certain difficulties in the organization of a purposeful system of formation of patriotic ideals of students of agricultural institutions of vocational higher education, the declarativeness of the formation of patriotic ideals of students; insufficient methodical preparation of scientific and pedagogical workers for the formation of patriotic ideals. Using the method of expert evaluation and based on the analysis of pedagogical literature, the work identifies and substantiates the pedagogical conditions for the formation of patriotic ideals of students of agricultural institutions of professional higher education. To determine the levels of formation of patriotic ideals of students of agricultural institutions of vocational higher education, relevant criteria and indicators are selected, among them: motivational and target; intellectual and cognitive; emotional and sensual; active On the basis of the defined criteria and
indicators, the levels (high, medium, low) of the formation of patriotic ideals of students of agricultural institutions of vocational pre-higher education are revealed. In order to consider the subject of research comprehensively and systematically, taking into account all constituent elements, stages, components, pedagogical conditions of formation of patriotic ideals of students of agricultural institutions of vocational higher education, the modeling method was used. In the dissertation work theoretically substantiated and experimentally verified the method of formation of patriotic ideals of students of agricultural institutions of vocational higher education.
