The dissertation work is dedicated to the clinical and laboratory substantiation of a complex of therapeutic and preventive measures for the patients with complex anatomical and functional conditions for the fixation of complete removable dental prostheses in order to increase masticatory efficiency and prevent prosthetic stomatitis through the differentiated use of adhesive gels. The aim of the study is to improve the method of increasing masticatory efficiency in prosthetics with complete removable dentures through the use of fixation gels for individuals with unfavorable conditions for the fixation of removable dental prostheses. 129 patients participated in the study, who were provided with complete removable dental prostheses. Among them were 69 women and 60 men aged 57 to 71 years. In accordance with the aim and objectives of the work, the following research methods were used: clinical methods with patients’ participation – anamnesis collection, surveys, registration of visible clinical symptoms of oral mucosa lesions, index objective assessment of oral hygiene level and degree of mucosal inflammation; functional methods – determination of salivary gland function (saliva secretion rate, saliva pH); study of masticatory function according to Urazaeva's method; modified T.D. Mirsayev's test for assessing the clinical functionality and degree of fixation of complete removable dentures; microbiological methods – microscopic examination, cultivation on nutrient media for the purpose of identification and determination of the degree of contamination with Candida fungi, determination of the fungi's sensitivity to adhesive gels; statistical research.
