The dissertation research solves a relevant scientific task regarding the development of research competence among lyceum teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature. The system of professional growth of teachers in the contest of war conditions and in the perspective of post-war reconstruction requires reform, new opportunities should be used and forms of pedagogical interaction should be updated, which is associated with the problem of overcoming
educational losses.
The study substantiates the structural and functional features of the research activity of teachers of Ukrainian language and literature of the lyceum, reveals the essential characteristics and structural and content features of the motivational and value, innovative and cognitive, creative and activity, reflective and evaluative components of research competence. The motivational, scientific and methodological, creative and activity, communicative, personal, reflective functions of the studied phenomenon, which are implemented in the professional activity of the teacher-philologist, are described. In accordance with the generalizations made, it is concluded that the system of structural components and functional features of the research competence of teachers of Ukrainian language and literature of the lyceum characterizes their readiness for scientific search, creativity and professional self-development. In the dissertation research, a scientific and pedagogical examination of the pedagogical conditions under which the studied competence is actively developed was carried out, justification and experimental verification of each pedagogical condition was carried out, which ensures the development of the studied competence of philologist teachers, and therefore their creative self-realization.
The scientific novelty of the results lies in the fact that for the first time: the main pedagogical conditions for the development of the research competence of teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature of the lyceum were determined and theoretically substantiated; a structural and functional model of the development of the research competence of teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature of the lyceum was designed, which reflects the phased development of the studied competence; methodology for the development of the research competence of teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature of the lyceum was developed, which combines the goals of scientific and methodological work; the diagnostic toolkit for assessing the levels of development of research competence of teachers of Ukrainian language and literature of the lyceum has been improved in accordance with the developed criteria (motivational, cognitive, activity, reflective) and indicators of tasks, approaches and principles on which the development of competence is based, has a scientifically and methodologically substantiated content, contains effective forms and means of developing research competence.
