The Kyiv-Mohyla Academy's role in social and political life of Ukraine and foreign Slavonic countries in the 17th-18th centuries. To establish the peculiarities of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy's activity in social life of Ukraine and foreign Slavonic countries and its contribution to the process of the national and cultural revival of the Ukrainian people. Methods of the investigation are historico-chronological, comparative and statistical ones. The Kyiv-Mohyla Academy's role in social life of Ukraine and foreign Slavonic countries in the 17th-18th centuries has been investigated. The Kyiv-Mohyla Academy origin and development has been reproduced, its influence on the sociopolitical life of Ukraine has been shown, its significance both for the Ukrainian national statehood revival and for the national personell training has been examined, the Academy's relations with the Cossacks and the Ukrainian Hetman State have been observed as well as its character and importance in the unification of the Ukrainian lan ds has been elucidated. The results are used in teaching History of Ukraine, History of National and World Culture, History of Pedagogics. The sphere of usage is scientific, pedagogical, political as well as public activities.
