The individual anatomic variability of the diploic vein (DV) and the skull vault bone thickness and its applied aspect was studied in 100 human skull vaults and 222 roentgenogramms. Two marginal forms of the structure of DV (reticular anastomo-tic form and magistеrіal small-anastomotic form) were established. The main trunks of DV and the 1st level branches were pla-ced in thin parts of the skull vault bones, the 2-3rd level branches were pla-ced in thick parts of the bones. The areas with bigger thick-ness of the skull va-ult bones formed the frame construction of the skull vault.
