The dissertation is devoted to questions of forming and developing the system of information support of biobibliographic activity in the National library of Ukraine named after V.I. Vernadsky. The historiography of the problem is given and the theoretical methodical tooling of research is offered. On the basis of complex historical bibliography science analysis the perspective directions in development of the biobibliography in the National library of Ukraine named after V.I. Vernadsky are found out.
