Lagosha M. Militia of Ukraine in 1945-1953

The dissertation is devoted to the problem of setting up Ukrainian militia and its activity in the post war period /1945-1953/. The dissertation deals with the structure of militia bodies, its transformation depending on varying socio-economic and political conditions. Qualitative and quantitative staff, the sources of reinforcement and system of professional training of the person, conditions legality discipline of fellow –employees in divisions and sub-units other militia bodies. The main directions, the character and the features of the activity in of militia maintaining the public order, the safety of citizens and the struggle against criminality, the forms and the methods of the concerted actions of militia and the population in protecting public order in the republic are investigated in the dissertation.
