New engineering scheme of iron deprivation in water is being offered and design of new iron deprivation in water unit has been developed on the level of invention. Operation of the unit is based on the filtration of as-cending water in cellular-polystyrene and ceolite filters. The process of iron deprivation in water has been probed on the units and determined their operational design and technological parameters. There also have been determined the relationship of changes of water head losses and effectiveness of iron deprivation in water depending upon different factors under ascending water filtration through cellular-polystyrene and ceolite filters. Technical conditions for designing and operation of the units of iron deprivation in water as well as project and design documents are worked out. Such units have been installed and successfully run in Kiyv and Dnepropetrovsk regions.
