Bogatchuk S. Railway Transport of Ukraine in the second half of the XIX - the beginning of the XX centuries (Social-economic aspect).

In the given thesis on the base of the wide net of the sources the history of the development of Ukrainian railways since XIX century till 1917 has been investigated. The work of the first railways proved the advantages of this means of transport, connecting Ukrainian regions, increasing industrial ana agricultural commodity circulation. Economic analysis of the railway construction discovered prospect fok tne formation of the new industrial regions. The dynamics of the growth of railways, their financing both from the side of the joint-stock companies and the state has been presented. The peculiarities of forming the stuff of the railway workers and clerks, the creation of the network of spesial teechnical educanionnal establishments, professional and socio-political activity of the railway workers has been determined.
