Object of research: temporary closing coal mines, legislative and standard basis of the nature use of economics and coal industry. Aim of research: the elaboration of methodological approaches to the ecological-economic substantiation of the liquidation and temporary closing down of coal mines in connection with the restructurization of coal industry. Methods of research: economic, calculatic-analytical, statistical. Theoretical and practical results and new points: the new methodological approaches to the complex economic estimation of negative ecological consequences of the liquidation of coal mines are proposed. Subject and level of integration: scientific- methodological recommendations for the estimation of ecological- economic effect from the "dry" temporary closing of mines and economic damage from the negative ecological consequences of the liquidation of mines.
