Regional system of ecological safety of the population. There is the scientific substantiation of priority directions of maintenance of sustainable ecological and economical development of Ukraine through an improvement of management by ecological safety of the population of locales. Methods: statistical, economic-mathematical, systems analysis and program-target approach. The theoretical and methodological fundamentals of research of ecological safety and sustainable ecological and economical development are expanded. The principles of quality control of an environment are updated and are supplemented. Practical results: the directions of increase of efficiency and safety of management of nature at a level of locales of Ukraine are justified. Introduced at a rate of regional state management and of State committee after land resources of Ukraine. Sphere of using: the programs of regional development.
