Mogylevs'kyj V. Effect of propolis-containing preparations on clinical condition and level of non-specific resistance of newborn calves.

The object of investigation: clinically healthy newborn calves, hypotrophic calves, calves having alimentary dyspepsia. The aim of investigation: clinical state correction, stimulation of non-specific resistance of hypotrophic newborn calves and calves having alimentary dyspepsia with propolis preparations. Methods: clinical, biochemical, cytochemical, immunological. Theoretical and practical results: propolis analysis was studied. Administration of propolis preparation raises level of non-specific newborn calves resistance, facilitates metabolism. Novelty: new propolis preparation were made, non-specific resistance newborn calves stimulation with propolis preparations "Propomin" and "Propovit" were given. Basic clinical, biochemical and immunological criteria characterising clinically healthy calves organism and having hypotrophia and dyspepsia were studied. The level of introduction: the result of investigation were introduced on the farms of Kharkov and Sumy regions and licence was declared. The sph ere of use: veterinary medicine, husbandry.
