Denysyuk O. Forming of notions in children of senior pre-school age about the history of Ukraine.

In the dissertation a retrospective analysis of use of historical material in teaching and educational work with children is accomplished, the influence of forming of notions about the history of the native land on the development of their national feelings, national self- consciousness, a profound respect and interest for other cultures are determined. The effectiveness of matter and principles of forming notions about the history of Ukraine in children of the seventh year of life is tested and proved. In the dissertation the expediency of a stepwise forming of notions of children ofpre - school age, the responsiveness of children's interests, the creation of conditions for their objective and sensible exploring and practical creative activities are verified, the necessity of a joint work of a family and child institutions in this direction is proved.
