Essay

The thesis highlights a theoretical generalization and a practical solution to the problem, which is presented in the development, scientific substantiation and testing of an experimental model, methodology and pedagogical conditions of the national and patriotic education of older pre-school children through artistic and speech activities. The purpose of the research is to scientifically substantiate and experiment the method of national and patriotic education of older pre-school children by means of artistic and speech activities and pedagogical conditions of its effectiveness. The scientific novelty of the research is that for the first time the essence of the phenomenon «national and patriotic education of older preschool-age children by means of artistic and speech activity» is determined, the pedagogical conditions of the national and patriotic education of older preschool-age children are scientifically substantiated(Ukrainian-language support for the national and patriotic education of older preschool-age children by means of artistic and speech activity; integrated approach to the national and patriotic education of older preschool-age children by means of artistic and speech activity; interaction between pre-school institutions and parents in national and patriotic education of older preschool-age children by means of artistic and speech activity); the following criteria are determined: cognitive, , emotional-sensual, reflex-activity with indicators); the levels of the national and education of older preschool-age children (sufficient, satisfactory, low) are characterized; a model of national and patriotic education of older preschool-age children by means of artistic and speech activity has been developed; the concept of "national and patriotic education of older preschool-age children", "artistic and speech activities" was specified. The theory and methodology of the national and patriotic education of older preschool-age children has been developed. The practical significance of the study lies in the development and introduction of an experimental methodology for the national and patriotic education of older pre-school children in artistic and speech activities (series of diagnostic tasks, program «Upbringing of the patriot», study notes using ART, ICT, STREAM-technologies, games of national patriotic orientation). The materials of the study may be used by educators in the senior groups of pre-school institutions; in the process of retraining and vocational training, in the courses for further training of pre-school education teachers. The study revealed such a pattern: the outcome of the national and patriotic education of older pre-school children depends primarily on its awareness (artistic works, oral folklore, rites, holidays, traditions, symbolism); accumulation of an active vocabulary with figurative expressions, words from artistic and folklore works of patriotic content and their active participation in various artistic and speech activities.
