Essay

The dissertation studies the current issue of development of parenting culture through collaboration between preschool institutions and young families. Considering a theoretical analysis of the research problem, essence of the concepts of «parenting culture of young families», «collaboration between preschool institution and young families» is specified. The current state of preschool institution partnership with young families in the aspect of parenting culture development is described. The substantive structure of the concept «parenting culture of young families» consists of cognitive, emotionally valuable, behavioral-activity components. The components, criteria, indicators and levels of parenting culture in young families, in particular «knowledge of parenting culture» (psychological and pedagogical knowledge about the age and individual characteristics of preschool children; ideas about methods and means of effective interaction with the child); «emotionally valuable attitude to the child and the desire to implement the parenting culture in interaction with him» (valuable attitude towards the child; the need to care for the child; the desire to deepen knowledge, skills and abilities for full education, training and development of the child); «manifestation of the parenthood culture in real life» (communicative skills and abilities; the ability to apply methods and means of effective interaction with the child; the availability of practical skills to resolve conflict situations) are identified; the levels of development of parenting culture in young families (high, medium, low) are characterised. The technology of preschool institution activities on the development of parenting culture among young families is theoretically substantiated. It contains the following components: target (identifies the purpose of technology), theoretical and methodological (is represented by a set of methodological approaches and principles of collaboration between preschool institution and young families), semantic (represents the forms and methods of work on the main components of parenting culture – cognitive, emotionally valuable and behavioral and practical components); procedural (reveals the technology of collaboration between preschool education institutions and young families in the development of parenting culture, which includes forms and methods of work); diagnostic (includes assessment of the levels of parenting culture, assessment of the level of readiness of educators to work with young families, assessment of the performance quality of preschool education institutions and young families). Research findings have confirmed the effectiveness of theoretically substantiated technology of preschool institution activities in the development of parenting culture of young families and its successful implementation.
