Subject: the national-church processes in Volyn in 20–40 th years of the XX th century. The purpose: to research the connection of the church-confessional movements with the national-liberation movements; canonical position of the Ukrainian orthodoxy; national consciousness of the Volyn clergymen; forms and methods of the Stalin’s regime stuggle against the Ukrainian church. Methods: objective neutralness, anakyses, synthesis, comparative. Results: the complax research of the church-social life in Volyn in 20–40 th years of the XX th century has been made. Use: scientific, educational-pedagogical, ethnographical work.
