In dissertation the conceptual and terminological system of geographical study of territorial organization of religious sphere of region is developed, the scientific definition of concept of transformation of religious sphere is given. The complex analysis of a technique of religious and geographical research of region is carried out. The formation of territorial religious system in the Lviv region and features of territorial organization of traditional confessions are analysed, and the recommendations concerning its improvement are given, the integrated religious and geographical regionalization of region is carried out.
