Kuzyshyn A. Regional dimension of socio-political processes: theory, methodology and practice of socio-geographical research

The work is devoted to the study of the process of measuring the dependence of the electoral preferences of the population through indicators of the social sphere. The complexity of the social structure and the diversity of forms of spiritual and socio-cultural representation form new communities, politically interested in defending their own specific interests. Thus, new socio-political distinctions are formed, and on their basis – new political groups, which are analyzed from the standpoint of electoral commitment to a particular space. The study area is the Carpathian-Podillya region. The concept of “electoral landscape” is studied from the standpoint of social geography, which has a certain compositional sequence with a characteristic configuration, which is marked by the relationships between the components that these elements occupy. The electoral activity of the population as a reaction to the social position of the territory by representing the territorial polarizations of electoral affiliation is analyzed. The stability/variability of electoral preferences of the population of the macroregion of Ukraine is assessed, the regional features of elections within the oblasts of the Carpatho-Podilsky region are determined
