Essay

On the base of the Communist Party and Soviet Document analysis, wide range of the archive sources the national-cultural policy of VKP(b) in the Soviet Ukraine during the period 1932-1938 is being investigated. The attitude of Government Structures to the cultural development of all ethnos representatives, which lived in compact community in Ukraine, is being revealed. The idea concerning the ukrainization under the leadership of M. Skripnik overstepped the limits of the korenizatsia (indigenizetion) initiated by XII Congress of RKP(b) in 1923 is grounded. The reasons of the change in the national policy late in 1932 are revealed. It is accented that the refuse the korenizatsia (indigenizetion) began only from the appointment of M. Khrushchov as the Head of the KP(b)U in 1938. It is underlined that actually during this period Communist Party leadership head the course to accelerate the processes of the russification in Ukraine.
