Gazin V. Hetmanship of Pavlo Teterya: An attempt to surmount social-politicial crisis in Ukrainian State (1663 - 1665)

The developmewt of social-political crisis in Ukrainian State in early 60-s is researched in the thesis. The XVII-th century and Pavlo Teterya' policy turned to surmount it Principial orientations of the political programme of Ukrainian government have been analysed. The idea of reviving of state unity of kossack Ukrain, stabilization of home policy and life in the state, establishing of favourable foreign conditions for realization of all these tasks were regarded as of paromount importance in the government programme. The thesis investigates the conditions under which the realization of the hetman's political programme took place, main reasons of its failure are determined as well. The author paid a great deal of attention to investigation of geopolitical aspects of the life of the stat and the course of national-liberation and social during the period of Teterya's governing.
