Chernenko Y. Enhancement of municipal sewerage performance by improvement of its hydraulic operation

The Object: municipal sewage works.The Aim: municipal purification system performance improvement aimed at a higher sewage purification grade. Methods and equipment: field research was carried out aided by specially designed and constructed installations.Theoretical and practical results: the result of technical solutions having been suggested and implemented aimed at improving the existing purification system hydraulic operation. The novelty Consists: is in having obtained under natural field conditions of the new experimental data for the water flow velocities distribution profile and for the dissolved oxygen content within the existing horizontal settlers. The extent of introduction: the technical solutions developed are introduced into the municipal sewage works of Dneprodzerginsk. Province of application: sewage works intended for the purification of the mixed sewage from utilities and industrial enterprises.
