. The object of study - human populations. The objective of study - 1) To carry out the comparative analyses of population structure and genetic processes in the populations of small towns and villages of the Kharkov region; 2) to reveal how the social transformations of last years have influenced on genetic characteristics of the populations. Methods - Determination of genetic-population structure by Coleman in the modification by Kurbatova; determination of selection by Crow, isonymical method by Crow; the Malecot's Model of isolation by distance. The genetic structure and genetic dynamics of some Eastern-Ukrainian populations in 1960, 1985 and 1996 have been investigated to create a database for genetic monitoring.
