Essay

In the thesis there is first investigation of new imperial stalinist ideology and politics formation in the context of Ukrainian-Russian ethno-national relations in Ukraine in the period between First and Second World wars. The author highlights the realization of Russian Communist Party of Bolsheviks's and Stalin's national politics toward Ukraine. Thesis shows that these politics were by its sense directed to hamper the Ukrainian national Renaissance of 1920s. Author analysed the formation and changes in ethnical composition of republic's population, ethno-territorial problems regulation, the progress of corenizatsiya-ukrainizatsiya (state politics in development of ethnic cultures and education) throw the prizm of Ukrainian-Russian ethno-national relations. The author presents the complex investigation of man-made famine of 1933, deportations and repressions consequences, russificational politics and ukrainizatsiya stoppage.
