Essay

The dissertation deals with experimental research of facial expressions perceptions by Arab and Slav students. Psychological mechanism of the facial expressions perception had been studied. It is followed that Arab students showed the significant differences on the Eysenk scholars of neuroticism, psychotism and social desirability. Interpretation stereotypes had been singled in the treating and decoding meaningful face expressions. The Arab students demonstrated tendency to single out joy and sympathy, while Slavonic students prevailed in accenting joy, sympathy and admiration. Among the negative emotions Slavonic students single out disgust and envy, while the Arab students demonstrate fear.The data received demonstrated that eyes were more significant for Arabs in facial ex-pressions, while lips were more important for Slavonic students. An exemplary program of crosscultural training had been worked out.
