The dissertation is intended for fixing of scientific problems concerning with: an alternative usage of elastomeric structures in place of the marine purpose wood, and developing of methods of designing and estimation for elastomeric elastic elements, which form a part of hull arrangements for floating structures, and experimental research of buckling strength of elastomeric ship structures. The conditions for substitution of a wood material with elastomers were formulated and grounded in the dissertation. Methods of designing of elastic elements made of elastomer as well as of collapsible elastomeric pads were developed. Method of designing and optimisation of elastic supports based on elastomeric elements, which cover big area, was developed in the dissertation. A method of simulation of yield of a wood material by taking use of structural non-linearity of elastomeric structures was suggested. Analytic formulas for determining of reactions from elastomeric plates and from collapsible elastomeric pads were worked out. Constructional types of elastomeric collapsible pads were grounded in the dissertation. Methods of estimation of joint deformation of ship's hull with slipway structures and with floating dock in whole were analysed and a selection was made. Criteria were defined which form input data for estimation of joint deformation of elastic elastomeric elements with a ship's hull structures. A new design of launching ways for longitudinal slipway, which includes elastic elastomeric elements, was suggested.
