In the dissertation work considers calculating methods of the stress-strain state of deep-water portholes and methods for testing them under long-term and cyclic loading by hydrostatic pressure. A theoretical method for calculating the stress-strain state was developed; the method for choosing the design parameters of the portholes of ocean engineering facilities and a method for predicting changes in their physical and mechanical characteristics during operation were proposed. As a result of the research, the following scientific results were obtained. For the first time, an analytical method for calculating stresses and deformations in a translucent element of porthole made of acrylic under the action of uniform hydrostatic pressure was developed.
