The mathematical model, which, unlike existing ones, takes into account the changes of casing thickness, caused by using winding, as well as the recommendations of Bureau Veritas classification society on the evaluation of elastic characteristics of composite materials by the properties of its components, is developed The method of calculating the stressed-deformed state and evaluating the strength of the pressure hull of an underwater vehicle of toroidal shape in conditions of hydrostatic compression was improved using obtained mathematical model. This allowed taking into account construction and technical factors of the production of pressure hull from polymer composite materials by winding with fiber (or tape). The methodology of calculating the stressed-deformed state of the pressure hull of an underwater vehicle of toroidal shape in conditions of hydrostatic compression, which takes into account construction and technical factors of the production of pressure hull from polymer composite materials by winding with fiber and polymer composite materials. The practical recommendations on the design of toroidal pressure hulls from polymer composite materials, in particular from fiberglass and carbon fiber, which meet the requirements of manufacturability and the criterion of minimum weight, were issued
