Soroka M. Formation and Development of Ukrainian Scientific Literature's Abstracting System (1991-2000)

The Dissertation is dedicated to the development of principles of creation of Ukrainian literature's National abstracting system. On the basis of study of history of the world's abstract business's development and analysis of the modern condition of scientific and information activity in the state there has been developed a Ukrainian pattern of establishment of scientific editions' abstracting system. As its principle there has been taken unification of distributed analytical and synthetic processing of domestic scientific editions' stream by subjects of the documentary communications' system with centralized formation of the nation-wide abstract data base and maintenance of multi-aspect use of its information resources. There have been developed methods of analytical and synthetic processing of domestic scientific literature's stream with using of resources saving computer technologies of its realization. There has been suggested an architecture of the National abstracting system and determined forma tted and linguistic provision of the data base "Ukrainika Naukova (Scientific Ukrainian literature and literature about Ukraine)". The results of theoretical researches have been put into practice in the form of the nation-wide abstracting data base "Ukrainika Naukova", represented on V.I.Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine's web-server and on three branch series of the Ukrainian Abstracting Journal "Djerelo".
