Myaskova T. History of acquisition and actual composition of the collection stocks of the library of St. Vladymyr University of Kyiv (1834-1927).

The thesis is devoted to the problems of history and acquisition of the library of St. Vladymyr University of Kyiv. Relation between the milestones of library development and the history of the university has been determined. The history, formation peculiarities of the library, list and composition of all collections, which come to the stocks during 1834-1917 have been studied by the comprehansive investigation of archival sources. The main sources of acquisition and principles of selection of scientific literature have been determined. The role of the librarians and their assistants in the formation of library stocks and compilation of catalogues has been shown. The actual state of collections of the library of former St. Vladymyr University has been investigated.
