Stoyanov R. Immunogenetic evaluation of selection resources of farm animals

The thesis is devoted the using blood groups for genetic analysis and selection of farm animals. Evolutionary and genetic-selectionary role of erythrocyte antigen polimorphism is discussed by example 3 animal species - cattle, horse and pig. The points of immunogenetic evaluation of genofond consolidation of breeds and herds of farm animals are envisaged. The difference of stock populations by blood group systems is evaluated. Methodical and practical aspects of immunogenetic markers application for formation of the genetic structure of breeds and filling them desired inheritance material are shown by example of Ukrainian Red-and-White Dairy breed. The basic directions of blood groups applications for preserving of genofond of Grey Ukrainian and White-Headed Ukrainian local breeds are shown.
